|Due to the large number of Buyers who do not pay for their purchases we will no longer cancel items after they have been bought.|
They will be flagged as non-paying bidders, reported to Ebay and, sadly, suffer the consequences.
A non-paying buyer makes Ebay bad for everyone... The unpaid item is not available to serious buyers who want the item and are prepared to pay.
We also have to pay Ebay seller fees at the time of the sale and then wait for the end of the resolution process before we can reclaim those fees. If the listing has ended we also have to relist the item AND pay a relisting fee.
We have to try to control our stock control over three internet sites and our shop AND it takes about ten times more work dealing with a non-paying buyer than a straighforward sale.
"I'm sorry I bought this by accident" or "My son pressed the wrong button on my phone" is not an acceptable excuse.
You have to go through several screens and eventually "COMMIT TO BUY...
EBAY CLEARLY STATES: By clicking Commit to Buy you are committing to buy the item from the seller. You will enter a legally binding contract to purchase the item."
